Day 20

BODY WEIGHT: 194.8 lbs

Look how the weight just drops. Body fat? NO! Just hydration and poop.

Getting back in the swing of things. Doing some office work, running some errands with the kids. Much to do before I take off on a speaking tour. I’m hitting 5 different cities in 3 weeks, speaking on stage at Tony Robbins’ event in 2 cities, and then I’m back home.

Today was my first official UP day. I started off consuming a almost a full gallon of smoothie. I came up just 2 ounces short of a gallon. Still, it’s more than I’ve had so far during this transformation.


Since it was an up day, I had to eat to uncomfortable fullness. So I did. I enjoyed a delicious sandwich and 1 and a half blocks of tofu in the form of tofu ice cream. That’s when I take a handful of frozen fruit, like mango and cherries and toss them in the Vitamix. I top it off with a block of tofu and just blend it. I use the tamper to push everything into the blades. It comes out pretty thick. I enjoy the taste of it. It’s a pleasant change from my typical Bragg’s, Nutritional Yeast, and Sriracha tofu recipe.



My workout didn’t happen until late at night. Midnight. I had the full intention of doing a big pyramid workout. I got 4 sets into my up pyramids on 2 different exercises and then just gassed out. I was exhausted. Probably recovering from the cruise partying, and waking up early to start a busy work day.

I did incline dumbbell chest press and a single leg bilateral biceps curl. I typically wouldn’t do single leg stuff on an up day, but I really wanted to get my balance better. Using 2 legs on the ground, greatly increases your ability to lift more, because you are much more stable. But since these were small muscles, and my weight was jumping up by 10 pounds at a time, it wasn’t going to make much difference. I also threw in some abdominal oblique sets.

My core has become so deconditioned from not working out and spending most of my time sitting or lying. I’m talking about the many months before beginning the transformation.
